I was asked to create a piece using the mobile app Abra for its launch at Printed Matter on April 23, 2016.
I was inspired by Abra’s bodily movement of touching the text, caressing the text. I wanted to take that further by immersing my whole body.
I projected Abra onto my body. I was inspired by touching Abra’s words with my fingers, and wanted to take that further by immersing my whole body. In my art practice, I perform by projecting video onto my body and interacting with it. Abra was the perfect fit.
